Welcome to Chisel Pottery Studios
At Chisel Pottery, we are passionate about clay - we love to talk about clay, make with clay and teach about clay.

Experience the joy of pottery and find a moment of creative relaxation in our beautiful studios, located in Chichester & Selsey, West Sussex.
Chisel Pottery was founded by Kinga Amielucha, who began her journey into pottery at just 13 years old in a small village in Poland, Kinga introduced to clay by a local artist and was encouraged to get creative and enjoy the process of making with it. That’s where the idea of Chisel Pottery was born…

Meet the founder
I’m Kinga Amielucha - I talk clay, make with clay and teach about it.
I am a former Fine Art Sculpture student from Brighton.
My ceramic work is influenced by my natural surroundings and love of living by the sea.
I experiment working with materials in a raw state and discovering the nuances between perfection and failure in the process of making.
With Chisel Pottery, it is my mission to inspire creativity, wellbeing and foster a love for pottery through hands-on and fun classes for all skill levels.
“It is my mission to inspire creativity, wellbeing and foster a love for pottery through hands-on and fun classes for all skill levels.”

-
Yes - our workshops, classes and experiences are open to all skill levels. We have potters of all abilities in our community, from complete beginners to seasoned professionals!
-
We recommend beginning with one of our one-off hand-building or throwing on the wheel taster workshops.
There are two main techniques to explore: hand modeling and throwing on the wheel.
For throwing on the wheel, you can choose from:
- Taster Throwing (2hrs)
- Day of Clay (5hrs)
For hand modeling, we offer one-off hand-building workshops where you can create specific items such as a chessboard set, serving platter set, nesting bowls, or a jewellery dish.
All of these introductory workshops provide a solid foundation in pottery making and offer you something beautiful to take home and cherish forever. -
All materials, clay, apron and firings for the one off taster classes is provided.
-
Your pottery will be fired and glazed within six weeks. You can arrange with us to either come and collect it or have it posted to you.
